Dear followers of Rizoom, my name is Romar de Bonte. I am 23 years old and I live and work in Arnhem. I recently graduated from my bachelor in fine arts, which is called 'Base for Experiment, Art and Research'. . My interest in theoretical philosophy is always a starting point for my work. Other themes that are often present are things such as archiving, language and the distribution of knowledge. Since I was 16 years old, I have had a strong desire to be able to understand literally everything. Somehow I was convinced that I could do it, to make sense of everything, and maybe solve every problem with it too. Looking back today, I think it's a silly desire or at least not very realistic. I have done research in theoretical philosphy, science, religion and what not. At some point, things got so complicated for me that I could not even understand why I cannot understand things. But my artworks are not literally about this research. I'm not an academic, I'm just some guy trying to deal with the fact that everything is endlessly complicated. My artworks are a way of dealing with this inability to understand things in my day to day life. I chose a very, very light grey for the logo this week. Sometimes my work is about boring 3 hour long monotone lectures. So, naturally I chose a very boring color. I thought the colorcode #f5f5f5 is nice too. #takeover #rizoom #romardebonte #dutchartist #artez #baseforexperimentartandresearch #upcomingartist
